Different makeup brushes will help you achieve optimum finish. I recommend synthetic brushes for all foundations, gel liner, lip glosses, and lip sticks. Use natural hair brushes, for all mineral powders, bronzers and blush. The best quality brushes are the brushes that will last and provide you with great application. If you are looking to start with a very simple kit, I would recommend the following: Foundation brush, bent eye liner brush, 2 shadow brushes, one full and one rounded, bronzer brush, kabuki brush and lip brush. These are the basics. You can start with these basic brushes and add on from there. Keep all your makeup brushes clean. I recommend washing your brushes a minimum of once a week. Place a small amount of baby shampoo, or dishwashing liquid in the palm of your hand with warm water. Gently rub your makeup brush in your hand and rinse with warm water until the water runs clear. Let dry overnight.
